My daughters helped at the kids ministry and gave their testimony at church
The very first day I landed in Uganda I spoke at the „Days of Power“ conference at The Faith Life church in Kampala (6 miles Gayaza Road). The following week we continued that same conference Tuesday-Friday as well as Sunday. The services include intercession prayer, worship, testimonies and preaching by 2-3 people as well as ministry times and laying on of hands.
Most mornings throughout the entire month we gathered with a group of pastors to pray intensively for about 2-3 hours.
At the end of the first 2 weeks we had a youth retreat overnighter with a campfire. In the evening meeting we had a lot of deliverances and praise reports after from people being set free. The following morning we had another amazing meeting in the presence of God.
A highlight of the stay was a launch of an app for schools and related documents with ministers of the Ugandan government.
We also visited a graduation party and a gym where a champion boxer trains who is part of the local church.
One Sunday morning I preached at Family Harvest Church, which is associated with The Faith Life. The same day we attended a church building inauguration.
Furthermore, we visited a house church, the Kireka Disabled school and the Roy Mubiru foundation for disabled kids to share God’s word and pray. We also had a home visit and individual meetings.
During the last week we preached at Prayer for all Nations church twice and visited a church in Seeta to meet with about 80 children who my daughter had supported with her school project. We were also able to visit and minister at New Creation Children’s Care Center and attend a live boxing match.
During our stay two unexpected events happened. One was riots by protesters, which were silenced by the government. The other was an explosion at a trash dump site which caused a mudslide that covered around 300 homes and killed hundreds of people. We were able to visit the disaster site and bring blankets, food and supplies like diapers and pads to the Red Cross tent where displaced people were hosted. We also donated masks to the soldiers working on site.
We praise God for his presence throughout this whole endeavor and for me being able to bring my kids which is a triple miracle!
